BROOKLYN CHOW'S PRIVACY POLICY

In The Dough Holdings, LLC d/b/a Brooklyn Chow ("Brooklyn Chow”) strives to do everything we can to respect the trust customers have in our brand and our commitment to your privacy is no exception.  We are committed to protecting and safeguarding the privacy of visitors to our Website (“Site”).

This Privacy Policy describes the types of personal information we collect from visitors to our Site ("Online Services").  The Policy also sets forth how we use this information, provides other details about our personal information practices, and explains how to contact us if you have any questions or concerns.

  1. Types of Information We Collect and How It Is Used

    Information You Give Us.

    Brooklyn Chow only gathers personal information, such as, first and last names, addresses, email addresses,social media contacts, land-line numbers and cell numbers, when voluntarily submitted by you. You may choose not to provide the requested information, but in that event the Site may not function correctly or certain functions may not be available.

    In addition, when you visit our Site, including through a desk-top or lap-top computer or on a mobile device, we may collect certain information by automated means. The information we collect may include your Internet Protocol (IP) address, computer/mobile device operating system and browser type, type of mobile device, the unique device identifier (UDID) or mobile equipment identifier (MEID) for your mobile device, the address of a referring web site (if any), and the pages you visit on our Site. We may use this information to operate, maintain, and manage our Online Services and to provide services such as technical support. We provide additional information regarding our use of "cookies" in this Privacy Policy below.

    Mobile Devices and Location Information.

    Mobile versions of our Site may collect precise information about the location of your mobile device using location awareness technologies such as GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth or cell tower proximity. We use this information for location-based services that you request such as locating a local grab n’ go cafe or identifying special offers that may be of interest to you, or personalizing your interactions with Brooklyn Chow. For most mobile devices, you are able to withdraw your permission for Brooklyn Chow to acquire this information on your location through the device settings. If you have questions about how to disable your mobile device's location services, we recommend you contact your mobile device service provider or the device manufacturer. If you would like us to delete location information we have collected, please contact us at the email or postal address listed below. Please note that the applications may not function properly following deletion, and that we may be required by law to retain certain information.
     
  2. Sharing of Personal Information

    Brooklyn Chow may share personal information within the Brooklyn Chow Organization. The Brooklyn Chow Organization means In The Dough Holdings, LLC and its subsidiaries and affiliates, including any of the grab n’ go cafes operating under the trade name "Brooklyn Chow” (and any of their successors and/or assigns).  Any use of this information by the Brooklyn Chow Organization will comply with this policy. Occasionally, with your permission, we will send marketing information to you, such as discount coupons, information about new product offerings, etc. If you do not elect to receive such materials, we will not send them to you.

    Companies may be engaged by us to perform a variety of functions, such as, fulfilling orders, assisting with promotions, maintaining our loyalty programs, providing technical services for our Site. These companies may have access to personal information if needed to perform such functions. However, these companies may only use such personal information for the purpose of performing that function and may not use it for any other purpose.

    In general, Brooklyn Chow does not sell, transfer or disclose personal information to third parties outside the Brooklyn Chow Organization. However, with your permission, we will, on occasion send marketing information on behalf of one of our business partners about products or services they provide that may be of interest to you.  

    Brooklyn Chow reserves the right to use or disclose any information as needed to satisfy any law, regulation or legal request, to protect the integrity of the Online Service, to fulfill your requests, or to cooperate in any law enforcement investigation or an investigation on a matter of public safety.  For example, we will share information to respond to a court order or subpoena. We may share it if a government agency or investigatory body requests. We might share information when we are investigating potential fraud.

    Please note that we may share information with any successor to all or part of our business.  For example, if part of our business was sold we may give our customer list as part of that transaction.  Also, we may share information for other reasons we may describe to you.
     
  3. Children's Privacy Notice

    Brooklyn Chow understands the importance of privacy to visitors to and users of our Online Services. We are especially committed to protecting the privacy of children who visit or use our Online Services.  We are committed to protecting the privacy of minors. For that reason we will not knowingly collect on-line or off-line contact information from minors without prior parental consent or parental notification (“Parental Involvement”), except as stated below. Such Parental Involvement would include an opportunity for the parent to prevent use of the information sent to us by the minor and the minor’s participation in the activity.

    We will not knowingly lure, by the prospect of a special game, prize or other similar activity, any minor to divulge information to us.  We will not knowingly distribute to third parties any minor’s personally identifiable information, without prior Parental Involvement. We also will not knowingly provide minors with the ability to publicly post or distribute on this Site, or through Brooklyn Chow otherwise, personally identifiable contact information without prior Parental Involvement. Note that, without prior Parental Involvement, any on-line or off-line information we receive from someone we know to be a minor will only be used to respond directly to the minor’s request and will not be used for other purposes without prior Parental Involvement.  Please read our Terms for more information.

    You are in control of any personal information you provide to us through our Online Services. If at any time, you would like to correct the personal information we have about you or if you would like to change your preferences for contacts from us or on behalf of our business partners, you can let us know by contacting us at the email or postal address listed below.
     
  5. Cookies

    A "cookie" is a text file that websites send to a visitor's computer or other Internet-connected device to uniquely identify the visitor's browser or to store information or settings in the browser. Like most websites, we use cookies for a variety of purposes in order to improve your online experience. For example, we track the total number of visitors to our Site on an anonymous aggregate basis. We may also employ cookies so that we remember you when you return to the Site and to help customize your web experience. We may associate personal information with a cookie file in those instances. Both we and others (such as out advertising networks) may collect personal information about our visitors’ online activities, overtime and across third-party websites, when using our Online services.

    Use the options in your web browser if you do not wish to receive a cookie or if you wish to set your browser to notify you when you receive a cookie. Click on the “Help” section of your browser to learn how to change your cookie preferences. If you disable all cookies, you may not be able to take advantage of all the features of this Site.

    Our site may also serve third party content that contains its own cookies or tracking technologies. We do not control the use of those technologies.

    California Business & Professions Code Section 22575(b)(as amended effective January 1, 2014) provides that California residents are entitled to know how Brooklyn Chow responds to “Do Not Track” browser settings. Brooklyn Chow does not track its customers over time and across third party websites to provide targeted advertising and therefore does not respond to Do Not Track (DNT) signals. However, some third party sites do keep track of your browsing activities when they serve you content, which enables them to tailor what they present to you. If you are visiting such sites, your web browser may allow you to set the DNT signal on your browser so that third parties (particularly advertisers) know you do not want to be tracked.  Third parties that have links on our Site, such as delivery services that may be used to deliver food to you, may set cookies on a user’s browser and/or obtain information about the fact that a web browser visited a specific website from a certain IP address. Third parties cannot collect any other personally identifiable information from our Site unless you provide it to them directly.
     
  6. Targeted Advertising

    We currently do not provide targeted advertising directly through our Online Services.  However, third parties that are linked to our Site may collect information about your online activities for use in providing you with advertising tailored to your individual interests. This section of our Privacy Policy provides details and explains how to exercise your choices.

    You may see certain ads on other websites because we participate in advertising networks, including but not limited to third party social media sites and food delivery sites.  Ad networks allow targeted messaging to users through demographic, interest-based and contextual means. These networks track your online activities over time by collecting information through automated means, including through the use of cookies, web server logs, web beacons and other technologies. The networks use this information to show you advertisements that may be tailored to your individual interests. The information the ad networks may collect includes information about your visits to websites that participate in the relevant advertising networks, such as the pages or advertisements you view and the actions you take on the websites. We may have access to some of data through third party tools.  This process helps us evaluate our marketing efforts. You can opt out of delivery of targeted advertising to you by multiple companies by visiting:

    Please note that even if you opt out, you may continue to receive advertisements, but they will not be tailored to your specific interests.
     
  7. Links to Other Sites

    We may offer links to sites that are not operated by Brooklyn Chow, including social media sites like Facebook and Instagram. We may link to other sites or have third party services on our Site we don’t control.  If you click on a link to a third party site, you will be taken to websites or platforms we do not control. This policy does not apply to the privacy practices of that website or platform. If you visit one of these linked sites, you should review their privacy and other policies. We are not responsible for the policies and practices of other companies, and any information you submit to those companies is subject to their privacy policies.
     
  8. Standard Security Measures; Length of Time Information Kept

    We use standard security measures. Keep in mind that the Internet is never 100% secure because there are always people out there who want to cause problems and engage in inappropriate access=activities (i.e., hacking).  We cannot promise that your use of our SIte will be completely safe. We encourage you to use caution when using the Internet. This includes not sharing your passwords.

    We keep personal information as long as it is necessary or relevant for the practices described in this Policy. We also keep information as otherwise required by law.
     
  9. U.S. Storage of Information

    We store information in the United States.  If you live outside of the United States, you understand and agree that we may transfer your information to the United States. Our Site is subject to U.S. laws.
